Oct. 5 – Old Timer’s Picnic – This annual family event will be held at the Pasco County Fairgrounds, 36722 S.R. 52, in the Madill building. Dinner will be a covered dish/fish fry and attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Organizers will provide fish, beverages, and dinnerware. Serving begins at noon, but attendees are urged to come early. Call Sam Sessa at (352) 588-3553 for information.

Oct. 5 – Gardening 365 – Pasco County’s largest plant festival returns to San Antonio City Park, 12200 Main Street, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Plants from vendors and Master Gardener Volunteers will be available for purchase, along with gardening seminars to help you keep your plants healthy and growing strong. Master Gardener Volunteers will be available to answer all of your plant questions.
Oct. 5 – St. Joe Fall Festival – All are welcome to come and enjoy arts and crafts, live music, beer and wine garden, children’s games and prizes, pumpkin patch and so much more. $15 for all day wristband for children, Free admission and Parking. The fun takes place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Sacred Heart Parish, 32145 St Joe Road.
Oct 5 -- NEW LOCATION: The Cruise In is relocating two blocks to the west of its current location to TJ's Deli (SR 52/Meridian and 9th St.) and the American Legion Hall (right behind TJ's at Church Ave. and 9th St. We will also use the large open (shaded) field across the street from the American Legion Hall on Church Ave.
NEW TIME: Noon - 5 pm. first Saturday each month, October through May.
Oct. 5-19 – Monarch Project Art Show – The gallery will kick off with a reception from 4-6 p.m. at Out of Our Hands Gallery, 14245 Seventh St. Lite refreshments will be served. There will be original art on display by 30 artists in various mediums. Paintings, photography, sculptures, all representing the Monarch butterfly in some form. Oct. 7 – Holes for Hope – Sunrise of Pasco invites the community this annual fundraiser golf tournament at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club, 12900 Lake Jovita Blvd. All funds will be used towards aiding Sunrise’s programs and services throughout the year for events, supplies, and participant needs. Oct. 7 – Breast Health is Your Best Health – Jennifer Roller, MD, Gynecology, will discuss the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and what you can do to help reduce your risk of getting breast cancer. Oct. 12 – Scarecrow Festival – From 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Pioneer Florida Museum and Village, 15602 Pioneer Museum Road, come and build your own scarecrow and get pictures taken with Ruby Cornbread. Oct. 12 – Dade City Monarch Butterfly Festival – Presented by The Dade City Youth Council and Dade City Garden Club, this free family event will educate and celebrate the Monarch Butterfly from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Hibiscus Park. Oct. 16 – Saying Goodbye to GERD! – Naga Thatimatla, MD, General and Bariatric Surgeon, will discuss this new procedure and how it could change your life. Oct. 18 – Bellamy Brothers at Rattlesnake Festival – The concert will be held at 7 p.m. in the Dan Cannon Auditorium on the Pasco County Fairgrounds the night before the traditional festival days on Oct. 19 and 20. After the performance, the Bellamy Brothers will be available to sign autographs at their merchandise tables. Call (813) 312-7119 for information or to purchase tickets.
Oct. 19-20 – Silverhawk Native American Flute Gathering and Arts & Crafts – Free parking and admission, fun for the whole family. Vendors welcome, call (813) 763-2118 for information and vendor fee. Nov. 11 – Veteran’s Day Remembrance – A ceremony will take place from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at Zephyr Park, 38116 Fifth Ave., Zephyrhills. All are welcome.
